Automatic printer detection is not recommended because it only works when the computer and printer are in the same network. Adding the printer via DNS name instead ensures printing also works via the wireless network eduroam.

To ensure the printer model and installed options are properly detected, select the network icon and then AirPint, where the DNS name of the printer can be entered. Make sure to enter the name fully qualified (i.e. name.space.unibe.ch).
