Microsoft Teams is a messaging and collaboration tool. It supports chats, calls and group chats. Because Teams is getting more and more important, all users are highly recommended to start using Teams.

Teams is usually preinstalled on new computers. Log in with your campus account by entering your e-mail address (usually firstname.lastname@unibe.ch). The installable client is available at https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads for various platforms, including Linux.

If you want to make calls, but are missing a headset, you can also install Teams on your smartphone and use it for internal calls. To use it without installing, visit https://teams.microsoft.com/.

To start chatting or a call, just typing the last name of a university user into the search box and select the user from the search results.
